IGARASHI Electric Works Ltd. was established in Kawasaki, Japan in 1946 to produce DC motors. Since that time, manufacturing plants have been established in Japan, People´s Republic of China and India. The Indian plant was set up in a joint venture with Crompton Greaves Ltd. and is known as CG Igarashi Motors Ltd.
Igarashi Electric Works Ltd. is one of the largest manufacturers of small permanent magnet motors in the world. Today, over 1,500 people are employed worldwide in the manufacturing, sales and distribution of Igarashi motors that are produced according to ISO 9002.
